I have this bootie in black suede.

It's very pretty, and I love the point toes. I've loved pointy toes for years but have never been able to get a pair to work for me.

They are weatherproof. Hello, weatherproof suede!

I want these to work. But, I'm wondering if that want is overriding reality.

They do fit. They don't hurt. I have average width feet in most brands. I have a pair of Blondos here, for example, that fit beautifully. They are truly comfortable right out of the box.

I am less sure on these.

I'm trying to decide if the want for pointy toed booties will override the momentary "these aren't as comfortable as any other pair of shoes I'm ordering". Or if the new Munros I tried on that literally feel like slippers will always get chosen over these.

I know only I can answer this, but I thought my musings might help others who are considering these.

Thsitle. It may not surprise you to hear I ordered these too. I am already concerned about the suede, but will give them a chance when I get them. We are obviously on a similar quest.

A couple questions - are the blondos more comfortable, but you like that these look more refined? Would you ever skip over the Blondos in favor of these? Honestly, your own words are not very compelling as a reason to keep.

Do you have any pointy toed booties or fall shoes already?

I love these, but I often choose form over comfort.

I was impressed with the waterproof suede on my La Canadienne boots last year. Not the same brand mind you, but actually a lower price than the Aq.'s.

My boots still look pristine after lots of salty roads and many snow storms.

I am impressed with waterproof suede, and would not let that deter you.

Are Liam the ones you like from Blondo? They may be the only ones i haven't ordered. I have ordered the moto ones. I'm usually a 10, but need a generous 10. I'm trying a 10.5 where available. How do you find the sizing on Blondo to run? I like a medium, but prefer it when they run a bit narrow.

Which are the new Munros that feel like slippers?

This is a top pick - although tricky. Fabulous on the foot, weatherproof, and all the colours are nice. Very streamlined. Nice heel shape, and looks quite dressy. The foot portion is very comfortable if you have low and regular volume feet, but the ankle opening can cut into your shin. (it cut into mu shin). Some clients did not have that problem. It's a gamble.

It will be interesting to see what you decide. It's easy enough to discard a shoe that is not comfortable at all or just plain doesn't fit. It's a tough question, when the comfort is good, but just not as good as others under consideration.

I have Aquatalia knee boots in suede that have been work horses for years. But I do not live in the same weather conditions you do. Really, Aquatalias are the best. IMHO.

My experience with the Aquatalia weatherproof suede has been excellent. First of all, they're very resilient to whatever our northern Canadian winters throw their way. Secondly, a suede cleaning kit (consisting of a little two sided brush) brings them back to life when they get tired (like mine did after 2 winters of pretty much full time use). I replicated mine after my first pair wore out, the suede still looks good but after all the miles i walked in them, the footbed is done.
I think the suede will stretch just a wee bit with time.

Honestly, it's not the suede I'm worried about. I have suede weather resistant from Munro, and they've held up well. I expect the Aquatalia will do even better. I don't wear my shoes in the snow in slush. I wear Sorrels into the office and change, but they will still face the residual snow and water of winter in an office.

The ones that feel like slippers are these. In black velvet. I wonder if they are secretly slippers in disguise!

The budget allows for me to keep several pairs. I just want to choose ones I'll wear. I don't want to be sad I let them go, at the same time, I want them to be better than the Paul Greens I bought last year because I loved the style but then never wore much because they never really "broke in".

Oh those Munros seem awesome.
Yes, it is a tough question to answer whether you'll wear the aquatalias...I would think maybe NOT, given your history with the Paul Greens, unless they fill a wardrobe hole that you can't plug with a more comfortable pair.

On the other hand, the suede loosens up so might be easier to break in.

Difficult choice, Thistle, but beautiful shoes.. I have a different suede pair from Aquatalia from last year, and they did break in, but their shape is more rounded than these.

I love this bootie. I popped in the store today and slipped these on. I was thinking about adding the cognac color. My quick assessment is the same as Angie, dug in my ankle, so I had to pass. I was surprised because I usually don't have a problem fitting Aquatalia booties. Bummed too. But the waterproof suede is fab. Don't let that put you off, the pair I have is truly waterproof.

Lovely booties and a rare find that it's a pointy toe that can fit a foot. I adore a pointy toe look but it's the hardest shape for me to find that can fit my feet.
