This dress sold out quickly, so I had to check back a few times to get my order to go through. Nordstrom said to size down; I don't necessarily agree. This did not fit me at all over the shoulders and it wasn't because it was too big. In fact, it was tight over the shoulder cap. I've had the same problem with J.Crew shirts and maybe (?) Banana Republic. It would have also looked better if my shoulders were more square. The fabric is polyester, but it is the really nice type of heavy poly if that makes any sense.
Right after I ordered this dress I remembered that I have NO place occasion to wear it. Doh! Anyway, it is sometimes fun to try something new.
BTW, I also ordered the Angie Pick striped flounce back shift dress -- in three sizes: One and two sizes down plus regular size that falls in-between. None have arrived yet.
