Return or exchange for smaller?

I was intrigued by Walmart's Norma Kamali All-In-One dress. It was on clearance, had tons of happy reviewers, so I took a chance. Reviews said to size up if you want to use the convertible feature, so I went for the 4-6. I am not in love, and even my fiance says it "isn't slimming." Should I bother trying out a smaller size, or is this dress totally lame on me? I wanted something that I could use to go out dancing or for a "party" atmosphere.

Definitely interesting. Brings to mind the "Choose Your Own Adventure" series of books that I read when I was a kid. Marvelous color on you. But I'm with your fiance on this one, Pass.

Some of the convertible looks are more flattering than others. I definitely liked styles 2 and 3 on you - but you get lost in style 1 and 4. Keep it if you feel great in styles 2 and 3.

I like it for situations like a vacation where you can get more packing less, but I'm never sure if I will utilize the convertibility factor in everyday situations. It's a great idea - are you the type to use it many ways? If so, I think it would be worth keeping. The only pic I don't find terribly flattering is #1. The rest look perfectly fine to me!

I like looks 3,4 & 5. Two is not bad either. Look #1 is too sack-like for your nice figure. If you think you will actually wear these looks, or have fun playing with the garment (if it's inexpensive), I would keep it. I would also try pumps or booties with this dress, maybe to me the fabric feels a little insubstantial for something substantial like boots. (?)

Unless you've tucked a lot of fabric in places I can't see, I think the size is fine.

I like the red color and the black tights and your black hair! You could even wear sheerer black tights for a dressier look.

I'd check out a smaller size if you actually are inclined to wear it different ways. I have convertible dresses I never convert. And they aren't great in basic form.

I think the size is perfect - but the first outfit is the least nice combination.

If you are not in love - return it.

Well, I was hoping to wear it with long sleeves for work and do the strapless ones to go out, but look #1 has not impressed anyone.

This one is definitely going back. I am returning in-store to save on shipping, so I suppose I'll try out an XS if the store happens to have one, but it doesn't sound like I should order the other size online.

Hmmm. I see you decided. I like 2,3 and 5 a lot, but you have to love something like this to keep and use it.
