Not sure why I’m so drawn to this dress today, but I don’t want to wear anything else. But to pull it off, I need to make it look “intentional”. That is, wear it in a sassy, snarky, ironic kind of way. I don’t think I have the shoes for it—think I need to get going on the hunt for loafers. The purse might work better if I’d use the handles to carry it like a handbag, but I can’t see giving up the crossbody convenience. The mulberry leggings & plaid socks just seemed right. What do you think? Does any of these work for you, or are there different combos of these pieces I should try?
Please excuse the hangers in #3—cropping them out means you can’t see the shoe.
ETA Context—this is just an outfit for a normal day, where I’ll probably go for a walk and might run some errands. I might take the subway, but more likely will walk everywhere on sidewalks, many of which are cobblestone. I will try to remember to include this info in future posts, but until I get a job or Corona lets cultural institutions open back up again, this will probably be the context for everything I wear. Right now, sports facilities and bars are closed (so my son has no basketball games for me to go to), restaurants are carry out only, and even parent-teacher conferences at my son’s school have been canceled.
I’m in Berlin, which is snark central with a darkish, sarcastic sense of irony. I don’t think this kind of outfit would fly in Florida, even though I bought the dress there, but if it gets a second glance in Berlin, I expect it’d be positive. Here’s a little bit more about this city’s attitude. https://www.myguideberlin.com/.....r-schnauze
