I've not needed a resume for more than two decades.

Most of the time, my best jobs have kind of "happened" to me. For example, my Uni position came about because the head of the department attended the church at which my DH was a the brand new Pastor. He interviewed me during a luncheon following one of DHs interview sessions. Ha! I was a good fit, and I was perfectly capable, but I think he was mostly relieved to not have to spend weeks on a search. I got to work before my boxes were unpacked.

Let's just say that's not happening now.

I've passed my board exams (woohoo), and I'm in the process of writing a career transition resume. Transferring from music education back to music therapy isn't a huge stretch, of course -- I think I can make that work. Looking vibrant and not over qualified (or just plain old) is a bigger challenge!

Any fabbers experienced with resume writing, or working in HR? I'm open to all advice! A couple of questions that are on the table:
Include dates, or no? (I just turned 53) Also, from 1991-1996, I did a lot of temping, in between freelance singing gigs. Since I was at my Uni job for 19 years, do I have to include every job I've had. (Although it's the temping that gave me the computer aptitude I need for work).

Oh yes, and since DH's car is in the shop with $6,300 of needed repairs (probably more than it's blue book value) -- I need to move fast!
