After last weekend's Nordstroms spree, I put myself on a shopping ban. It didn't quite take...here are this week's results:
1. (Monday) Bought a new MK red top on sale at Nordstroms while exchanging the two sweaters for larger sizes.
2. (Tuesday) Received my order from ON/Piperlime. The wine patent LC boots are keepers; they're more loose rainboots than fitted winter boots, but there were many times during this wet snowy/rainy winter that I needed exactly that. (As my salt-crusted grey Merrell wedges can attest.) Everything from ON was a return except this super-cute pontelle sweater -- in kelly green, which is already sold out.

3. (Friday) Returned ON stuff. Tried on a bunch of things I hated. Thank goodness!
Went to Nordstroms for a much-needed bra fitting. Managed to escape with only one new bra, at half the price I was paying for the boulder-holders of yore. Considered myself lucky so I wandered all through the clothes section again, but restrained myself from actually trying on or buying any of the dresses that I fell in love with. Also wandered the shoes and the MAC counter, but made myself flee before I did more damage.
4. (Saturday). Rearranged shoes for the spring/summer and hauled out all my sandals and peeptoes from last year. Realized the black Clarks slip-on sandals (pretty patents in a sand-dollar cutout shape on the top of the foot) were not going to make it another year and would need replacing. Put it on my "post-ban" (cough) shopping list.
Bought 1 new smaller yoga pants/pajamas bottoms and 1 new smaller exercise top at Target (the XLs are falling off me). Stocked up on plenty of exfoliater and self-tanner -- Friday's outfit proved to me that if I'm going to be in dresses this summer, my calves need help. They never get tan.
Stopped at DSW (to look for black sandals, just going to "look" hahaha) and bought a new rust-red wallet and a Tignanello Touchables crossbody bag. They had a green, but it was not the bright color and didn't look right. Instead I got it in maize, which I loved. It's neutral, but still warm and bright. And the "touchable" is probably the most on-the-nose description yet. Besides, with all the teals and greens I have been adding lately, I needed a counterpoint color for my summer purse.

Also on Saturday, looked at totes at Target and REI, tried on a ton of sandals I hated at DSW, then because it was raining (yeah, that's my excuse) after my pedicure I wandered through the consignment store in the same strip mall. Considered a couple of pieces, but nothing was a "wow", nor was it an especially good deal.
So...I either bought or shopped without buying 4 out of 7 days, and bought 9 new items (including the boots and sweater I had on order). Not much of a ban at all, I'd say. I think I need more practice at this! *g*
