Repair versus letting die naturally?

My black leather Isabel Marant Dicker boots need to be resoled.

But I'm wondering if I should just wear them out and maybe find a different black ankle boot.
Do you still think it's a current style?

They look current to me. Perhaps not cutting edge anymore, which is more your style.

Are they still comfortable? Do you still enjoy wearing them?

Gah; those are the exact kind of booties I want that I haven't been able to find ... I'd resole them and looooove them, but I'm definitely behind the fashion times, like Thistle pointed out, they're not very cutting edge.

I would resole. I think they're still current looking; they remind me of these Acne boots. Resoling is so economical versus a new pairs of boots, but it really depends on whether you think you'll still wear them.

I think they're a modern classic. If they're comfortable and you still reach for them, I'd resole. That way, even if you get rid of them later, they won't be destroyed and someone else will be able to enjoy them.

I'm with Janet. They seem more classic or timeless than trendy, which is totally fine. Is it fine for your closet, though? Or would you rather move on to the latest and greatest.

I'll resole them. The heel height is a great walkable height.

I'd resole. There are black stack heeled booties all around, but they're not the same. This aesthetic is still ahead of the game.

Glad you're going for the resole! They're IM, classic enough for you, and I'm pretty sure you'll still wear them plenty. Plus after resoling if you come across a newer boot that you felt could replace these, you might be able to sell this pair.
