Your Summers are looooooooong, Malina. So make sure you have enough to keep you going for the stretch.

The 'do looks Killer Pretty. You have beautiful hair.

I can handle the heat. Please send it our way.

Teehee, that's what my dad used to do to punish us ... "Fine, if you kick your sister, $10 is coming off your next birthday award!"

PS: Sometimes it was worth the $10.

Your hair looks fantastic.

Your hair looks great. I cant really say anything about the flannel shirt because I do buy some out of season, but less than I used to. I think there may be a much better selection later on.

Fab hair!

I have moved from one Bay Area microclimate to another that's warmer, and I'm really wondering if I have enough summer stuff. Usually the 90+ days in the old hood were sets of 2-3 spread out across the whole summer mixed in with more temperate weather, but down here the summer average is somewhere in the high eighties. My 'high summer' capsule may be wholly inadequate.

Thanks for the hair compliments. I do also buy out of season, Shedev, but am really trying to curtail that. I often buy here things for Tahoe (leather pants this winter! and even booties just this month) but I'm trying to turn over a new leaf. Those items were more HEWI's.
But I know I definitely want this shirt and not just 'a flannel'. If it sells out I will be kicking myself, not that I envision flannel selling out in July! So at what point is buying out of season smart or not? I wonder.

I can completely sympathize... This Florida heat is so stifling... And long lasting. I cannot imagine how you run and bike in it. I can barely get from the air conditioned house to the car without complaining! My husband works outdoors, so he feels your pain... I vote buy the shirt if it is one that you love so much and will kick yourself for not buying. Sometimes that is the only thing that can keep us sane in the heat... The promise of getting to wear cute cool weather clothes!

PS - your hair is gorgeous! You have the waves I always wanted....

If it is that shirt you want, not just any flannel, I say buy.

Okay, here's the thing. It is still June (technicality, I know) and I am going to return the meh linen tee from J Crew. I am going to get this on 30% off sale and just put it away for a few months.
My No Buy July will start, and I will sweat in my tees and tanks and shorts, lol and look at my fall flannel dreaming of snowy Tahoe days to come. ha!

I love the idea of no buy July. I gave it some serious thought though while working out at the gym this morning. If I am being truthful with myself, I don't think I'll be successful. All I could think about at the gym was how much I wanted to go to the mall and "just look." I don't have anything I want or need, I just have a certain "itch." Nordstroms sale will be even more challenging because I kept telling myself in June how I would hit the store in July. This is a long way of saying I will be cheering you and others on from the sidelines, but I won't be participating in the no buy July.

I did learn one thing though. I can go an entire month without buying anything. I am going to implement a no buy every other month just to see if I can continue this practice. Thirty days should be nothing in the grand scheme of things.

Yes, Sterling, that makes perfect sense. Since I did not even begin to adhere to Just say no June I am ready for No Buy July. I've done a fair amount of shopping this year and it's time for a break for me. Anything purchased this month will be lipcolors or underwear. No 'fun' clothing 'just because'. I agree that a 30 day break is a good undertaking now and again. I might try this each season.
