Remembered I already have a bright 'spring' bag - not sure about it

I have a bright or light colored spring bag on my list and just remembered that I already have a brightly colored bag, this one. I didn't have it with my other bags, because I ended up never using it. Everytime I grabbed it I canged to another bag in the last minute, I'm not sure why.

What do you think about it? Should I give it another try this spring? Or should I look out for something different? I'm not sure this one fits my style so well by now.

If you found you didn't get a lot of wear out of this one, I would say pass it on and get a new one! It is a springy colour but not quite what I would call bright (maybe there is just so much neon and really bright brights out there right now). Looks a bit short too, but maybe tht i just the way you're holding it. ENjoy the hunt!

Thanks Nicole! It's a really light and fresh green, but not neon or really bright, that's true. It's bright for me, compared to the colors I'm normally wearing. The length is variable, it's a crossbody bag. The strap was just that short when I went to take the pictures.

I think it has kind of a boho shape although I'm not on Team Handbag--more like Team Handbag Impaired. The piping makes it look a little on the mature side though (I'm not sure why.) Is it suede or leather?

It looks ok, but not *great*. How do you feel about giving it a second try AND having your eyes open for a replacement?

If you try, but still don't *feel* it you know you should find a new one. If you end up liking it, you don't need another. And if you can use it for just this season, you could put a new one on your list for next year?

Maybe looking at your prioritized wish list could be helpful on this decision?

Is it perhaps a bit small, and maybe a bit of a traditional/conservative shape, for wearing casually? I think it's cute enough but it does make me think of garden parties and sundresses, somehow.

I think a handbag is all in the styling. Any bag can look frumpy, and any bag, in the right hands, can work. Why not give the bag the full "Astrid" treatment for a week. Treat it like the coolest thing in your closet and build a few outifts around it. Then, if you're still unsure, ditch it like Shannon's boyfriends (oh wait, I think they're back together. Well, you know what I mean).

I don't think there is anything wrong with the bag in and of itself. I do think that your choice to carry another bag at the last minute is the issue. I'm not sure you like this bag enough to keep it. Maybe you should get a replacement?

I am not keen on this bag apart from its spring-y color. The shape seems a bit difficult (seeing it as a pear myself, it just seems to emphasize the roundness in the bottom part of the body). Also the fabric confuses me with regards to season - it looks like it can be worn with winter clothing, although somehow the color says "spring and summer only" but I can't picture it being worn in the summer - from how the material appears on the photos. That's just my view, obviously.

I would say wear it when you absolutely need fresh-colored, smaller bag, but look out for the replacement.

I think you already made the point - you don't want to carry it for whatever reason - I find this to happen too sometimes. Do you like larger bags or smaller ones? What type of closure do you prefer? Shape prefs? Once you know this you can focus in on what to replace it with.

I think you're right and it's telling that I never use the bag. I just don't like it all that much in the end, for whatever reason. Maybe it's really the shape, like Anna and Ornella suggested. It's also fairly small, so not that practical for an everyday bag. A new one isn't high on my list because I do have other ones I can use, but it would be nice to have an alternative to my tan leather ones. I'm going to keep my eyes open, but only buy one if I fall in love with it.

Good call to just go with your gut. Maybe in your search for a new one you'll be able to put your finger on what it was that made you not want to use this one. Have fun shopping!
