I was modeling them for the SO, and he noticed that one side had slouched down below my calf! The leather was SO soft that they had less structure than I thought... and my calves weren't shapely enough to hold them up. They would have been puddles around my ankles -- D'oh!!!

So I ended up buying these Gianni Bini boots of Ebay with the intention of dying them dark brown. I peppered boot seller after boot seller with requests for measurements, and the result was fantastic! The boots fit perfectly in the calf and ankle, and the quality is fab, even though I've not heard of the brand before. Pics to come, but I was too excited to wait!

The point of my story is that Ebay can be an amazing resource for fast, accurate boot measurements. A lot of the styles listed were still available from other online merchants, too, so you could conceivably double-check measurements before ordering of Endless/Piperlime/etc.
