She was very active here for several years, showing her fabulous self and beautiful girl. Turned to the forum when the 2 yr old had a medical emergency and became paralyzed nearly overnight. The Drs were unsure why, I believe it was member Goldenpig who recognized her rare disease symptoms, told her it was likely AFM, which was spot-on! Only appx 900 children in the world have it. Zi made a great recovery, doing really well until 4 yrs later, it struck again....she's making great progress now, but has had some setbacks, including a botched spinal tap! Reason I'm writing now is to tell you she has a wonderful blog/page on Facebook (That Midlife MaMa Donna) that she writes (usually) daily and her family just suffered a tremendous loss, Donna's Mom (Peggy) passed away...she could really use some support ($, words of encouragement, prayers). Donna, Zi, her sister w/3 kids and Grandma Peggy all lived together and have done so for many years. I know she'd love to hear from anyone who knew her here or are just touched by her story. She desperately needs funds for her Mom's funeral and living expenses, hospital+Drs bills while getting 0 income thru FMLA. While FB does give her a tiny bit of cash for 'likes/comments' on her blog, it's a mere drop in the bucket and she desperately needs the $. But it's raising her spirits- that's the main thing, and also if you can offer them any help with $, prayers, encouragement is much appreciated!
