I am always impressed and a super cheerleader for women who take the time and effort to sort out their needs and take good care of themselves. Women can sometimes take care of others and forget to put themselves on the list.

You are an amazing woman and you've gotten some great advice here and seem to have embraced some of those suggestions, so just wanted to say,
'Go for it!" You deserve some "Me" time!!!

I think this is the key - "Someone else likes something about me besides my ability to be empathetic or write a prescription for a medication that they want."

I am with others who have suggested that adding a few activities/hobbies/social interactions through the week may actually help. It sounds like you're feeling too defined by your career and not your many other talents and traits.

Maybe cutting out whatever is no longer inspiring you and adding in some new things (like the art classes!) will give you a boost? I don't know if this is true for you, but I know I tend to be a mindless internet/magazine consumer. By that I mean I am still following a lot of blogs/reading magazines that I don't honestly relate to anymore. I feel good about cutting most of my style blog/fashion magazine browsing in favor of using that time on YLF where the community is so much more inspiring and helpful. And most of my IRL friends/acquaintances don't want to discuss clothing to the depths that I do, so this is an important outlet.
