I ordered these so fast, and from NYDJ, a brand that always works for me, that I didn't notice the frayed hem info until after I wore them for the first time today and took them off!

It's not that the look bothers me, but I'm wondering if the frayed hem will decrease the longevity of the jeans (ie, will they start unraveling, etc). Any experience with this type of detail that's worth noting?

(And of course on short-legged me, they're not cropped so I guess I have the option to hem them...though it would be a few months before my mom heads up north and I can consign them to her.)
