redundancy or just a diff take on a similar theme?

I have a thing for fitted little jackets and I keep coming back to this one in tan. http://www.zappos.com/gabriell.....?zlfid=111 The issue is, I have these jackets (pics 1 and 2) and this one on the way! http://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/.....26fr%3Die8
They all share a utility/moto/military, whatever you want to call it, vibe. Is this a case where I'm hoarding every incarnation of a theme or do you think they legitmately are different enough to warrant the purchase of the Gabriella Rocha next month - when my budget allows
I ask because I've been known to corner the market on a type of item when I get in a groove and then look back at the half dozen of them and wonder what I was thinking. But I also think I'm aware now and not as likely to fall into that trap. I guess I just don't trust my judgement here. Help!

Luckily my budget forces me to think these things over for weeks at a time so that limits the impulsive purchases.
And I know many of you might be scratching your head at my looking for jackets in summer in FL but Tahoe is home and I hope to be back by year's end. I am not totally off the tracks!! yet. . .

I'm going to say no to the new jacket (or yes, it's redundant!). You'll be repeating a color either way, unless you were going to replace one that you already have. I love the three you've got now, and they provide a nice diversity of style too.

I'm with Una.
The three you have/almost have are sufficiently basic that I think you can wear them with lots of styles and colors and therefore will find yourself pulling them out again and again, possibly over years. The Rochas one is VERY distinctive to me and with details that I personally think will be hard to make work with outfits in real life. I think it has all the markings of the kind of thing that draws you in, visually, but then you just never end up wearing because execution ends up being more work than it's worth. Just my two cents...

thanks, ladies. I agree Auburn, that the kind of stuff that 'draws us in' doesn't always relate as well in real life as far as versatility and wearability. But then distinctive pieces have their place . . . guess it's all just a balancing act. For now, having the new linen moto jacket on the way that should be light enough to wear here and now (in the evenings at least) should keep my plenty covered for a while!
And with my luck, the funky jacket will still be around in 2 months and half price. And if not, oh well!

Mo, I hope I wasn't a downer! I just see you and I following some of the same patterns of collecting several versions of something we love without quite knowing what to do with them.

Oh, Una, I totally appreciate your input. I know we are on a parallel (crash?) course lol! I just really sometimes don't know if I'm thinking with my head or my heart or not thinking at all!!
