Oh wow. Fab fab!

Ok. I so like your Germany style better than your Florida compositions. Has to be said. Hope that isn’t rude.

RL, not rude at all! We all know I did not feel like myself there at all. The interesting thing (to me anyway) is realizing how much difference it makes to me that I can wear what comes naturally, thinking through what I could wear if we return to Florida, and sometimes trying to figure out why I didn’t. I guess that’s 3 things, not 1. Oops.

I have decided not to get the Timberlands, or any pale pink suede shoes, based on two pairs I’ve seen people wearing recently. I don’t wear open toes in this city, because of the dirt. I guess the same dirt is there when your feet have pink suede on them.

The new boots are so pretty, and they look great with these outfits! I especially like your dress and sweater tights with them--a simple look with the splash of color in the boots. They go really well with the pants and jeans, too. Glad they worked out!

Your look is morphing to euro-chic. I quite like the boots with the dress/tights outfit, and with the jeans rolled to clear the top of the boots and puffer.

Thanks Firecracker!

Runcarla, lol at the idea of me as anything-chic, but thanks for the compliment.

The height of the boots is perfect with pants, definitely

Love the style and the color. Red is a neutral!

The red boots are great! Love them with the rolled-up jeans. Now you just need to throw on some funky socks.

How your environment changes your style is so interesting. I feel quite at home in New England, style-wise, and felt equally confident in my style when I lived in the the PNW. The SW, though, was a whole different bag. Especially since I was in LV, which is its own weird little world, aspiring to be LA but not quite cosmopolitan enough. It still feels like an outpost. I quite liked dressing for Las Vegas winters, though; my wool and flannel seemed exotic to people but were perfectly appropriate for the temps. That's really where I learned to wear jeans, too. Denim is so well suited to the desert.

I'm definitely picking up a euro-chic vibe from your new outfits. Simple and understated with a bold pop of colour; it's very nice.

I have to wear work boots (mine are grey with pink highlights), so the Timberlines remind me of my heavy, cold, wet boots....cute in red though!

Jessikams, I’m still amazed how shortening them made them better.

Unfrumped, indeed! It might be the most flexible neutral of all.

La Ped, next time I’ll have to swipe some socks from my son’s new H&M red, white, and blue pack. The chronology of your style journey is interesting. I don’t think I ever learned to adapt to my surroundings that way, which probably explains why Tampa was such a problem for me. They have beautiful weather this week, but through Halloween it was at least upper 80s daily.

JeannieB, sounds like you’ve injected a bit of yourself into your work clothes. Nice! And yeah, work clothes outside the job seem to be a drag for everyone.

The boots look really great, love them on you, and think these outfits reveal something about your personal style that I haven't seen before. By far my favorite of all your posts. By very far. Love all.

Isabel, that’s such a nice comment! Thank you.

Angie, this is the sweater dress I mentioned on the blog. Considering how much I was wearing it for a few weeks, I’m surprised it isn’t in more posts. I’m not sure I want to wear it right now—I’m prepared for winter, with an extra round of insulation on my gut.

I’d get this plum one too, if money were no object.
