Recommendation: gear tees with good drape

I can highly recommend the Gap Breathe V neck tees. The current style is nice and drapery. Very non-clingy. The V might be a tad deep if you are small-busted. I am 5' 3" and they run a little long for me but they are not terrible and don't cling to my hips.

Thanks for the heads up. I realize they aren't cotton but do they feel cottony? I wear wicking tees to sleep in but only like ones that feel like cotton.

They feel more modal-y than cottony if that makes sense. They don't pill in the wash and wear very well so there's that. I have had some for several years.

My gear is mostly a mix of Athleta and Gap with a few items from other brands. Some of my Gap Fit (not sure if Breathe) shirts from *4 years ago* are still going strong (and I work out hard and a lot). Really good value and look just fine, too. I need a new short sleeve shirt, so thanks for the reminder.

You’re reminding me that I still need to find some better yoga tops! I went to class last night and the tee I was wearing is too low cut for my comfort. The one I wore last week was too loose and short in the body and kept sliding up when I’d go into downward dog. I need to make that a shopping priority.

I hear you. These probably won’t work for yoga. They used to make a scoop neck one that I use for yoga. Please post if you find something appropriate.

Thanks for the recommendation. A tee that is both gear AND "nice" is a bit of a HEWI for me... I like to have a couple that I can wear to hike in, when one might end up for lunch or a beer somewhere in the same trip.

Elizabeth, there is a Zella V-neck, short-sleeve tee that might work for that. I'll see if I can find a link. And Lululemon has a short-sleeve tee that is really nice and has a good bit of length, but the V-neck is quite low.

ETA the the Find below. It's on sale now too. I ordered one upon the recommendation of a friend.

I’ve got this Zella tee Janet shows. I love it. I got it in a second color. Drapes well. V neck not too low. Kinda slouchy, in a good way. I wore it yesterday to walk and left it on all day. I see a couple colors are also available that aren’t marked down in black and white. If they add other colors at some point, I would consider getting another one, even at the relatively high price for a tee. I’m guessing the lighter colors are a touch sheer, but I only have darker ones.
