Recommend some cargo-ish crops?

I had an hour to kill before going to the airport to fly home from the desert today and found myself trying on some bottoms. I have a feeling I will need one or two new ones when I review my warm weather clothing when I get home.

I tried on these Hudson "flight pants" which I really like. Somehow the bulk of the pockets seems to read as the pants and not my legs, which is always a concern for me. Side note: I think this is a kind mirror too, although I also think I lost a few pounds on this trip because I was hiking every day (yeah, I know, I should have been taking it easier on the sprained ankle, because it's swollen now and I'll need to nurse it more when I get home).

Even though I like these pants a lot, I waited because they're a little thick in fabrication. I would like something in a similar vibe in a lightweight fabric for our hot and humid summers. Any suggestions? Mid-rise waist please.

I did buy a new pair of denim shorts at Lucky that are a good length on me (they are embroidered with white flowers) -- we'll see how I feel about the embroidery when I get home. The fit was great. Sorry, no pics of those.

I usually don't go for cargo style but I got these joggers at Anthro are wonderfully light and soft (though they do wrinkle which I'm ok with for casual pants). They are almost full length on me or I can tuck the hem under for a cropped length.

Not super cropped, but very lightweight. Green was excellent, same size in black was calf-sucking.

Late returning to this (traveling yesterday!), but I appreciate the recommendations! Anna, those are really cool but I don't care for the baggy butt drop crotch *on me*. Still traumatized from some childhood teasing from my sister. Susie, I might try on this Anthro joggers, but I'm not loving the elastic at the hem -- I've had bad experience with that style cutting into my calves. Lisa, I love the flat front of the ones you posted, and lightweight sounds perfect. Calf-sucking on you probably means unwearable on me, but I may pop into Athleta and try them on. I do like that green.

Those Lou & Grey from Loft poplin pants come to mind (sorry I don't have the Find right now) They don't have the extra pockets but they have some pieced seaming that makes them feel slightly more like cargo. I haven't tried them but keep looking at them...no elastic on the ankles and 100% cotton.

Texstyle, I found them. I do like that color, and the streamlined effect (I don't like really obvious elastic waists, etc). Thanks for the suggestion!

Those pants look great on you. You have a point, though--lighter weight would be better in your summer.
I am drawn to a lot of Sanctuary pants styles. I had a pair once that were pretty much like Find 1, but in a drapey tencel rather than cotton, and I really liked them. With the tabs, you could kind of drape the leg rather than rolling it, for kind of a ruched effect.

Have you tried the ones from Anthro that Angie recommended? The fabric is very thin and they would be great for hot days. They were a bad fit for me but others have liked them. I also like Sanctuary.

Anna, those look nearly identical to the Tencel joggers I got from Anthro a few years ago. I still have them but they'd are demoted to lounge wear (I wore them in the desert as pajamas too).

Joggers are a weird thing for me. I like them but Jamie is not a fan, so I end up wanting something a bit less sweatpant-ish to wear day-to-day. Maybe it's the baggy butt thing he doesn't like.
