1-3) I'm knit skirt crazy at the moment!
4) Inspired by Angie's pencil skirt and leather jacket ensemble. Except it's still too warm to wear a leather jacket so I substituted the knit moto.
5) My beloved military jacket is still going strong and I liked this pairing with the Loft drop waist dress. It does seem a bit short in the pic, but didn't feel that way IRL.
6) I've had this dark brown batwing sweater for 3 years now and was reminded of it when Angie posted the Blaye sweater from All Saints. I decided to try and fall-ify this summer skirt with it. How did I do?

You look stunning in all the range of looks. #1 and 4 are my favourites but due to my own preference for the more classic I guess. I think what you have done in each outfit is get the proportions absolutely right.
So for that reason too, the print skirt in question looks fantastic on you too.

I especially love 4 and 5.

The sweater in 6 seems a little heavy for the skirt -- maybe if the skirt had (more?) black in it, it would feel more seasonally consistent. ETA: It might be that the fabrics don't show their true nature in the photo -- the skirt may be a little more substantial than it seems in the photo, and the sweater might be lighter. Sometimes pics are deceiving.

Queen Remix is back! #4 and #5 are my faves. #4, for the clever mixing of neutrals in a modern, but classic silhouette. #5 for modern chic --- and it's not too short with the thick leggings to provide modesty.

All of these are top notch, of course. I think I'd try booties or boots with #6 to add a little more visual weight to the bottom half of the outfit. I wonder what this skirt would look like with the moto in #4?

Thanks everyone! My happiness factor with #4 was through the roof! I luv it when I can apply any of Angie's ensemble/outfit ideas!

@Janet - the skirt is a lightweight cotton and the sweater is thick, so you were not mistaken there. I was hoping with my warmer transitional weather, the combo would still work.

@Beth Ann - I originally had dark brown ankle booties to wear with #6, but for some reason I thought it made the outfit too trendy for church. The red shoes I wore with it has chunky heels if that helps with your tip of adding more visual weight to the bottom half.

Aljean! We missed you in the OC. So good to see your post here. I love you in a knit pencil, you look super fab in these. I love that first sweater so much. Your leather jacket outfit is awesome. I think I'd prefer the All Saints sweater with a plainer bottom. White skinny jeans maybe?

I hear you A.J. on "too trendy for church." I did notice the chunky heels -- I think they're great for you, since you have lovely, delicate legs, they're just right. I can't wear really delicate shoes --- I look like I'm crushing them! Hee!

@CC - I looked at the OC get-together pics with much jealousy. So glad to see that you made it there. I'm sure the swap added much more enjoyment too. That striped sweater was from Target last spring, I think.

You do rock the knit skirts, AJ; they look great, and you prove how versatile they are with these very different looks. Add me to the fan list for #4. That outfit is stunning. #5 is so inventive and also great on you. And #6 is my second fave among these--the batwing sweater and skirt combo is a perfect pairing for silhouette, and yes, you've successfully fallified the skirt!
