When DH and I moved in 2014, the decision was to make this place a home that would see us into and through our retirement. It is a bungalow style with one floor living, but a 'walk-out' basement. The room that bothered us the most was the basement rec room. It was divided by pillars and had a floor that was part carpet/part cork. We speculate that a previous owner had a home gym.
My goal was to create a cozy 'man cave' for DH (I have my music room) where I could be comfortable watching TV or reading a book on a dark and stormy night! The renovation work (removing non weight bearing pillars, upgrading wet bar, etc.) started the last week of January and the furniture was delivered this week. Some art up, but more - and some additional accessories on the way.
DH is very happy (so I am happy!) but our DS'sx2 may never leave!
