I'm intrigued by the idea of a draped trench. I think one would sit really nicely in my wardrobe and would probably suit some of my casual looks really well. I've seen a few on various bloggers over the last few months....Kimberly off 'Penny Pincher Fashion' and Heather from 'Forage Fashion', to name but two. The toppers seem to be usually unlined and in lovely drapey fabrics. I've been trawling fabric websites for suitable candidates and I'm thinking a triple crepe fabric may fit the bill. Can't decide on colours though. Blush, pale grey, light sage, taupe, mushroom, sand...For the moment blush may be my first choice, but I have to find the fabric first! I think this style of topper would suit my look, what say you?
I think it was actually our very own Deb from Australia that got me thinking about a draped trench (see last photo) when she posted a Metalicus one for me on my 'Queen for a day' thread as organised by Una (might you do any more of those Una?)
