Trying to find a really tight collared turtleneck that is long and has a thin close fitting collar help !!

If you can tolerate wool, take a look at Uniqlo’s merino turtleneck. The ribbed knit allows a snug fit and they are nice and long. I size up, as I find them slim fitting and can shrink a bit over time.

Another member of Team Giraffe Neck reporting for duty. Yes to J Crew turtlenecks. I've had good luck with Banana Republic turtlenecks too.

The one thing I learned from What Not to Wear was to give knits a strong snappy stretch if they feel tight anywhere. It has helped with tight T- necks. Stretching probably will have to be repeated after washing or even dry cleaning. Feeling like you are being choked is not good. Good luck.
