Hysterical...I agree with you and will save my $$$ for something I might actually wear! By the way, I am a Seattle native (West Seattle) but live in Everett now. Love Ballard, thinking maybe some day we'll end up there in one of those stylish new condos close to the canal.
@Barbara: a few years ago I saw a spread in a design magazine of a home that featured a deliberately "ruined" look. I mean tears in the upholstered pieces, lots of scratches and more. It was sad because I interpreted this to mean that the designer and homeowner must have an excess of money and were completely bored, so had to try something new. I guess it also might have been their search for meaning in life, or perhaps an artistic statement. But it was not a showhouse, so someone had to live in this mess.
