Today, as I plan what to wear to go play tennis and then stay in town and visit/do errands it occurs to me that my casual/gear capsule is a very real need. Sure, it's fun to look for blouses that will up my style quotient, but the truth is I don't live a 'blouse' lifestyle for the most part. Over the course of this last week, I went rafting, then bbq'ed right after at a friend's, I played croquet and then had lunch in the casino right after, and today I will likely visit friends in town right after some tennis with the BF. I can't very well drive home the 20 miles round trip just to change to socialize. And the idea of bringing changes of clothes every time I head to town isn't a great solution, either.
So, yes, I do still want and need a dressier capsule for dinners out and casino shows and the like. But, I really need to concentrate on decent 'play' clothes that can do double duty for my active casual pasttimes.
In this vein, I left the adorable navy dotty blouse alone, and instead picked up a woven cotton daydress with pockets Cute and functional (I think I could fit tennis balls in them if I tried lol)
Just sharing my train of thought today I am still getting the interview capsule together, and that will be that for dressier clothes for a bit.
