Rachylou and Thistle, it is a good maxim. I have to take care not to forget it.

Beth Ann, that's a good analogy! It's the same for me playing Clarinet.

Claire, my hair was actually for a longer time short or shorter than long. I cut it all off to a pixie twice, once with fourteen and once when I was seventeen. The rest of the time it was anything between that and shoulder length. The long hair you've seen me with was the first time I let my hair grow that long since I was a child. And yes, I'd say the Tomboy is still there. I need ease of movement, practical clothes. More casual than dressy. More feminine than I ever was, but not really girly. Like I said in Ornella's thread, I'm also rediscovering jeans and tees as a deliberate choice.

Congrats, Astrid! It's wonderful to be able to appreciate how far you have come, it must be a great feeling. Pictures do tell the story so well. I have loved watching your style evolve here on YLF!

So nice to hear that you have made progress! Outfit pics are so helpful. Style is a journey for sure and it is important to enjoy the journey as well as destination. Looking forward to seeing more of your amazing outfits!

Life's a journey, not a destination

Thanks Carole and Mona! Pictures really do tell it best.

Mellllls, I guess you're right and it's not only true for style.

I see lots of your current wardrobe in keeping with hat sporty girl by the water only more grown up style.

Thanks, I'm glad you do.
