Hi all

I’ve been somewhat absent from the forum. I’ve had some setbacks lately and been feeling low on energy. Looking forward to a fresh start in the new year.

Speaking of which, while I’ve hardly done any Spring/Summer shopping this year, I have made up for that with some purchases in the end of year international sales. I will wear these in Autumn/Winter 2019.

These are try-on pics. I couldn’t do readymade Finds for all of them but I think they are all still available. Happy to answer any questions if anyone is interested in them.

No 1-2: Monki bronze top. I love this soooo much. I’ve been looking for a bronze or copper top forever. 30% off from ASOS. Very fitted so I sized up. Quite delicate - it would probably snag easily. (I’ll be careful.) The metallic effect is fantastic! I can’t wait to wear it.

No 3-4: Free People Bryant velvet coat in dark green. 50% off when I bought it. I took my usual size and it is quite roomy and boxy. It’s a viscose blend so it looks a bit shinier than cotton velvet and is less stiff and more lightweight. I do prefer cotton velvet but I like really the vintage vibe of this coat. Love the big funky collar and the length. Paisley lining! I will keep it for Autumn “going out” wear.

No 5-6: Maeve geometric skirt from Anthro. Got this in the 30% off sale. It was described as a pencil skirt but it’s more of a gentle A-line shape, which is my favourite skirt shape. Love the 70s vibe. It’s a simple pull on knit but it’s not tight (and I am pretty curvy). I got my usual size. I tried it on with teal, rust and green tops and am confident it will also work with black, ivory, red, camel...

No 7: Yumi Kim dark floral top from Shopbop. It’s fitted so I sized up, which I think was the right thing to do for shoulder fit. It is not elastic enough around the waist to be worn untucked and ruched. I will probably have to wear it tucked in.

No 8-9: Boden “Bonnie” dress. 50% off. It’s silk and has a luxe, bohemian feel. I am not totally sold on the folded neckline for me, but I really like the colours and pattern. Dresses are hard for me to find so I will probably keep it. I will shorten it a touch so that the hem clears the top of my boots more easily. I took my usual size and it’s fairly roomy. If you are between sizes or narrow shouldered you could probably take the size down.

Seasons greetings to all
