- a dress like the one in the last picture! I love love love the combo and want to try it, (it doesn't have to be leather of course). How do I look for one like that - is it A Line dress? Tried googling but I get all those summer dresses and flowy frocks to sift through. I'd like one that can be dressed down - like it shows in the blog, with a cardigan, I'd also add a long necklace and nice boots (would Veronica Slouches work??) and keep the outfit for our date night out with hubbs (whenever THAT happens LOL). Budget is no more than 40-50, doable?

Well, you certainly picked a nice dress to hunt for! The dress in Angie's post is here:

All leather and quite a steep price. Why not try googling the dress itself and see if any knock-offs pop up? Also, you could try searching on polyvore (I think you can find similar items this way; not something I've done a lot).

I just went to Polyvore to see what similar items might pull up. I'm not good at using Polyvore, but the dress description is a cap-sleeved shift dress, so that is the dress style you are looking for.

ETA: Plugging "cap sleeve shift dress" into Polyvore's search gives these results:

Thank you, Sparky, I went google-happy with 'shift dress' and also went to Like.com where they have visual search (completely forgot about that feature) but couldn't really find much. I'll keep looking though, it's funny how it's so hard to find a plain a-line shorter hem dress (I don't care much about the sleeves style) !

That shape is one of my favourite dress styles. I'm chomping at the bit to get a leather one but it's a little out of my price range. They are better with a bit of darting and more of an a-line look though, in my opinion.

Those were all I could find that weren't made from printed jersey. Is that along the lines of what you're looking for? Or have I got it completely wrong?
