Hi ladies! Mostly lurker here, but I did come around about 18 months ago for help on my body type right after my third child was born. I don't want to ramble, but basically I have recently started treating my anxiety and as a result I feel like I have sort of woken up and am returning to some of the things I enjoy, like putting effort into my appearance. I am a bit of a shopaholic, but decided to go on a shopping "fast" over the holidays. No shopping from Thanksgiving to New Year's. I even took it a step farther and DH got on board by doing 99% of the grocery shopping for me. It really helped me focus on the important things and freed up tons of time and money. I went on a purging spree and reorganized almost every nook and cranny of our fairly cluttered home. I went through nearly every item in my wardrobe, down to the jewelry and socks, and donated, trashed or gave to friends a huge amount of stuff. And then I went back and did it AGAIN, catching more items. It was such a great feeling to return to some harmony and to get rid of what was ill-fitting or worn. Over the last few weeks I have been shopping much kore deliberately, with actual goals in mind and have nearly replaced my entire wardrobe ( I have lost weight so most was too big) almost exclusively from a couple of my favorite thrift stores. It has been years since I was excited to get dressed, and that is where I am at. But DH and I decided it was a good idea to do another shopping freeze, this time for two months. I'm looking forward to it actually. I am posting a few pics of my new outfits, and hoping to spend more time learning from you guys about how to "shop my closet".
