Re- thinking nude fishnets

Can you tell I am tidying my socks and tights? Sorry for overload.

So, I have nude fishnets from a YLF moment several years ago, but have never worn. In a fairness I keep forgetting I have them.
I see 2 possibilities for trying them out, and of course, I could thank them for the lesson they ( may have) taught me and set them free.
One is to wear them soon them with a day/ casual dress as " ventilated" compared to regular sheer hose , seeing that I actu prefer to wear hose but do find that they don't seem right in part of summer with certain styles and when partly outdoors.
The other I is to try Angie's trick of wearing layers , over regular sheer hose, to see if they provide extra warmth in air conditioning. This would depend on comfort and also the appearance, which to me always changes in different light, making even some of my regular " nude" choices seem off at times.
Is anyone still wearing nude fishnets, with any tips on where they best fit into the legwear strategy?

I used to have nude micro fishnets (they wore out and I haven't found any to replace them). I found them less frumpy (yes, I'm going to use that word). I know nude pantyhose are coming back in, but I just have problems wearing them - I feel frumpy even if they look fine. The fishnet version made me feel more stylish although you could only tell they were fishnets at close range. They were fine for fall and spring weather when a little extra coverage was nice.

I also have a pair or maybe two of fishnets plus ultra sheer hose that I bought to keep me warm. But where I work now is under air conditioned, so I never wear them. Maybe this fall when it's not cool enough for tights?

I've never seen fishnets worn by anyone. . . . I started my work career when hose were expected if not required, and I still think they provide a polished look to business formal -- not that many people dress business formal on a regular basis for work these days. I cannot imagine NOT wearing hose if I were making an argument before SCOTUS, for example.

I highly recommend the ultra sheers sold at the Rack. They are very cheap ($6?) and so sheer they look invisible. They are labeled control top, and I HATE control top, but they have virtually no control.

Funny I am wearing a pair as part of my Icon challenge.

I love fishnets but I don't see many people wearing them at the moment. I just find them a fun item to wear.

I wear nude fishnets all the time at the moment. I find them more robust than sheers, and I prefer not to have bare legs in air conditioning.

I love my micro fishnets- but I don't wear them regularly, mostly to events/dinners. I also have sheers from Nordstrom but will definitely look at the Rack when time to replace. This summer I finally tried the Sally Hansen airbrush legs (spray was a better fit for me over the lotion)--it was trial and error but I found a great match. It just kind of smooths everything out.
I personally like the look of hose (particularly in a business formal environment)- they help finish the look.

J never see them, either unless I'm just missing it.
Might have to do a self- chsengr in a low- stakes situation and see what I think. I don't see them replacing nude hose for my workwear goals , more likely something I would wear outside of work when others are bare- legged.

I bought and wore them a wore of times after the YLF moment you speak of and never felt comfortable in them. They are now gone.

I wore black micro fishnets for the first time in years recently, and enjoyed it. I actually thought something similar to you - that they could be a good transitional item for me. More ventilation than regular hose but still some coverage, and a lot more fun. I think I will try them out some more when the weather gets warmer here. I hadn't thought about trying a nude pair but would be prepared to give them a go.

Nude fishnets are my go-to tights. I love the coverage and breathability, and the fact that they go equally well with my casual and fancy dresses.

unfrumped, I'm voting for Fun with Fashion for you! Life is complicated enough! I bought a pair this spring but have not worn them yet and will wear them before winter, just gonna have to figure out how and see I how like them.

I have a few pair but I rarely wear them. I do quite like the textural effect, though, and particularly enjoy with knee high boots although I admit that is a bit seasonally confused (at least for my weather). I keep mine just in case, and you know I'm not a "keeper" so that is saying something. They don't take up a lot of room and they're available if I need them. The other thing I like about them is they don't run as fast as sheers. This is no small thing in my life. Also my cat doesn't destroy them as quickly. You see I have thought this through.

I wear my nude fishnets with pretty much any type of knee-length or above-the-knee skirt. I wear them in spring and fall when the weather is just a touch too cold for bare legs.

I don't wear mine any more, but that is probably because I don't wear skirts and dresses as much as I used to. And I don't see anyone else wearing them around here.

I love my nude fishnets but the weather has not been cooperating - even for a double up, which is brilliant Angie tip - and no occasions are arising...

I love my nude fishnets for spring and fall, and I often wear them with knee high boots. In our climate, the boots are enough to keep my legs warm while the fishnets add texture and interest.
