Random things on my list when I'm no longer SYC

In addition to a couple of true wardrobe holes, some random, weird and often impulse-driven wants have arisen. I have refrained from buying ANYTHING, but these are all bookmarked in various places. They are the kinds of things I would have have bought first and considered later.

Opinions please!

I think your impulses would have been right on. I love all 3 of these items and would for sure wear #1 and 2 - #3 is just a bad color for me, but I can certainly see it on you!

Ahh the red moto jacket! I am dreaming of one too now. I'm not loving the double breasted jacket but the color is nice.

I think these are the kinds of things that make your wardrobe interesting and take it beyond the basics to reflect who you are.

I was thinking on my SYC/SYB and how I really have all I need to get through another summer here. I think I may focus my budget on different accessories or bags. The things I historically neglect that could help amp up my wardrobe's potential.

Mo, I haven't seen you pull out a lot of jewelry - I bet that would add a lot to your wardrobe at relatively little cost!

yeah, the jewelry got stagnant. I have a fair amount of sterling silver and concentrated on earrings for many years for wearing to work at the bar. I started getting into necklaces slowly but many are not very 'striking'. Only within the last year have I picked up 2 more statement type necklaces. My bracelets suffer the disappearing act, as well, so I picked up that cuff watch last month. Something to work on, to be sure.

Yay on cropped red leather jacket and maybe on the orange dress. But I would belt the orange dress. The orange dress is fun but probably not something you'd get tons of wear out of. The red jacket you would wear a lot, it's very "you" and versatile as well.

The blue jacket looks great on the model but it looks hard to wear and style for us regular under 5.9" mortals.

I like #1 and #3. The collar on #2 looks a bit dated to me; not really the moto style as I know it. LOVE that orange dress, though.

Not loving the blue - it looks huge. The red is super cute, pop the collar and rock it. Only question for me would be about the pockets and whether it suits your boobage. Feeling it for the orange one too - it's interesting and has a lot of potential.

Una, just out of idle curiosity, what is your ideal jacket's armpit-to-armpit measurement?

Stephanie, I'd say 18-20 inches across, depending on the material and the purpose (outerwear). For blazers, I can go smaller, but arm movement and shoulder width is a big issue. I am still trying to figure out the whole measurement thing - I know some here have even recommending bringing a measuring tape when shopping!
