Hi. I am drive-by posting to say that I've been shopping like mad all of a sudden these past two weeks or so (getting some great deals--don't worry, I'm totally financially solvent), bit by bit picking up staples for my wardrobe, and it's been awesome. Now I am pulling outfits out of my closet! Me! Like I can go out and know that I look nice! Susannah and Trinny were right--clothes can change your life.
And I always loved clothes, but at the same time felt like it was a world that wouldn't accept me somehow...like I wasn't good enough or something...and I felt also that the whole thing was too girly (in general, I don't consider myself a girly-girl at all). But I am having so much fun just participating and also reading everyone's posts. It's like accepting more of my feminine side. I hope to meet up with some of you in real life someday!
Also...just wanted to say after being here for a few weeks, reading the blog and forum...that Angie is truly a genius at what she does. She is the Picasso of clothes. I am not saying this lightly. If she were consulting with me and told me to try on a potato sack, I would do it without hesitation. I am almost surprised she's not out in L.A. or Hollywood working as a personal shopper to celebrities...but we're extremely lucky that we get to receive her generous brilliance here.
(And I hope she doesn't read this...she might think I'm insane and kick me off the forum! Sorry, I just get so exuberant, ya know...)
Well, I'd better go back to real life...just wanted to get that out there. Have a great weekend, everyone!
