I did a Custo Barcelona inspiration based on Angie's blog post. I love having an theme or idea to guide me--less overwhelming that way! Plus I get to try new combinations that I never would have thought of before!

Raising hand! I'm wearing a new ruffled tank that I was hesitant to order because I was afraid it would look boxy. Fortunately, it is shaped so that it skims my body and enhances my shape. It's a sleeveless scoopneck, so to make it office appropriate, I topped it with a pointelle shrug that has elbow-length sleeves. The tank is a leafy print that has various shades ranging from white to dark gray. The shrug is black, as are my trousers and shoes. I wore dangly silver (may be white gold; not sure) earrings that are shaped like maple leaves, with a bright white/yellow gold chain my DH brought to me from Jordan. The necklace has two chains twisted together; one white gold and the other yellow gold. The chains have diamond cuts in them to make the necklace sparkle. It's hard to explain, but I've had many compliments on it, and it's the perfect 18-inch length to wear with scoopneck tops. My DH and I are going out to eat with some of his business partners, so I wanted to wear something nice. I feel great in this outfit! It's not colorful, but it really looks chic. I wanted to show you the tank today, but it has already sold out and can no longer be viewed online.

And I'm loving it! Got a few compliments, though my husband is put off by it. Too out there for him! A few months ago (pre-YLF), I would have felt the same way. I'm proud of myself for trying something different.

My hand is raised! I'm wearing my rose Frye Oxfords with a skirt for the first time - new silky ivory blouse brown/camel/black tweed skirt, denim jacket, chunky pearls and vintage turquoise ring. I love the lady/cowgirl dichotomy.

/raises hand! I'm wearing an outfit inspired by Joy's recent Seattle tee outfit: black and white band tee, white tuxedo blazer, olive skinnies tucked into black slouchy flat boots, white watch, bright peach and fuchsia striped fingernails, hair up up up in a high pony

(I enjoyed reading what everyone is wearing, fun to picture them all in my head!)

Sadly, I can't join. I went for a one hour hike today (trying to work back up to running!) and didn't have time to change into normal clothes before I had to pick up my kids. Still wearing sweat pants and an old tee shirt. But I feel athletic and healthy, what with the fresh air and exercise. Will get the outfit under control tomorrow.

Raising mine! My picture taker isn't here so you will have to use some imagination. Ii'm wearing my white jacket with black dots, a scoop neck black sweater, my skinnies, Doc Marcies (would have worn the Saras but I still need to put insoles in), topped with my black trench, a bright blue scarf, my yellow bag, and red gloves. (Yes, I may not be pattern mixing, but I'm going for colour!) And I am playing around with the new black frames, not made up for me yet but still fun to try on.

Darn, maybe yesterday, but today I didn't make it out of my running clothes until 5pm! After my run I ended up going to the rental house we've been working on, and I cleaned out the attic, vacuumed the floors, and moved out most of the stuff that needs to leave the house before a new tenant comes in.

So I spent the day sweaty and in running capris, tee, jacket, sneakers and cap. Tomorrow I'll wear something much more worthy!

Yesterday I told you about my new top that has various shades ranging from white to dark gray. A pair of silvery gray pants I ordered from jcp.com (on sale for only $18) arrived in the mail yesterday afternoon, and I was pleased to see that they are the right shade of grey to go with the top. Also, I recently purchased some metallic sandals. Now I have a new way to wear the same top! I love it when I have more than one option. The silvery gray pants and sandals will be perfect for summer when I'm not at work and can feel free to wear the top without a shrug over it. For work, I can wear it the way I wore it yesterday.
