Rag and Bone sizing

I found a pair of pants online in size 6. I can't find a sizing chart that tells me anything about whether that's a US 6 or what the measurements would be. Any suggestions? (The range available is shown as 0 through 6).

Rag & Bone is an American brand, so I'd guess it's US sizing. I don't have anything from their collection, just their denim. I wear a 26 or a 27 in denim, for Rag & Bone I am comfortable in a 27. Hope that helps... a little.

I thought I would resurrect this post instead of starting a new one...

I've got my eye on Denise's Rag & Bone skinnies (secondhand, probably), because they are amazing on her and I have similar proportions.

I'm a bit stumped on sizing, though. I am a 26-27 in Hudsons, 2 in Gap jeggings, 27 in Lucky Brand, 2 in my BR Sloan pants. The sizing chart for R&B, though, says my thighs should be in a 29 - and I think I'm bigger than Denise, so if she is a 27, I ought to size up... but all the way to 29?

Rae, I would try a 27 or 28, definitely not a 29. There is give in the back waist in the 27 on me. I do feel they will stretch, I could tell already when I was taking pictures.

If I followed their size chart I would be a 26 for waist and hips and 30 for the thighs. (We need a new kind of fruit for the small hipped and large thighed population, maybe a strawberry.)

Have you actually found them somewhere for less?

The Iris were all sold out at Shopbob and Saks, unless they got them back in.

I see a pair of 29s on Ebay, and they are on sale on Piperlime for $123. Thanks for the info; I probably would have tried the 29s if left to my own devices.

Good to know that the size chart is thigh-wonky for you, too. That is so odd... we really do need a new fruit. The only thing that comes to mind is butternut squash - while technically a fruit, it's so not as cute as an apple or pear, lol.

ETA: oops, not on sale. Only one color is reduced... but they do have them.

They are worth splurging and paying full price if you can't find them on eBay. The Iris color is a dark navy without any fading, they are elegant looking. As MaryK would say:

The bigger problem is that Rag and Bone has changed sizing and cuts. Their new /jean line is sized differently from their earlier lines, and of their earlier lines, the ones made in S. Carolina fit differently than the ones made in NYC.

I wear a 28 or a 29 in their jeans, Rae, a 27 in current elliot and 7FAM, and a 28 typically in CoH. I think you are smaller than I am, so I'd try a 26 or 27. But if you and AG show me which you are looking at, maybe I can help more.

I do want them on the looser side so that they are work appropriate, but not so much that they look silly, y'know?

I think Una's issue was solved; I just didn't want to add "clutter" to the forum by starting another thread.

ETA: Here is a picture of me in COH Ingrids in size 28 (left), plus one of me in AG Goldsigns size 29 (right). These both fit loose, for sure, but still fit. Not what I'd wear on the weekends, but a more "family friendly" look.

Rae I'm pretty sure those R&Bs are meant to fit tightly and sizing up will not make them looser, just make them huge in the waist. I could be wrong, but that's certainly how it would work on me.

Hm, good point, IK. It certainly does take a lot of moving up in the size chart to get a significant increase in thigh size. And since CL says they will stretch out a bit, I could just end up with a big, baggy waist.
