Hi, gals! Thank you so much for thinking of me. I don't want to jinx anything, but I followed up today. They had not been able to reach one of my references, so I supplied them with an alternate contact, and now they are waiting on the background check. Knocking on wood and crossing fingers.
I also ran into an old schoolmate and fellow cheerleader while out at Shoptoberfest. He was working at Nordies and we talked a bit about retail and he gave me some suggestions of more places to try and which to avoid. He mentioned that his particular Nordies location wanted a few years experience in retail, so I don't feel as bad about all the rejection emails.
Anyway, I will hopefully hear from the Rack tomorrow. I think it would be a good fit - the only drawback is that you have to wear a turquoise Rack tee shirt there, but that is such a minor thing; I liked a lot of the other things like hours, parking, break facilities, etc. more than other places I've interviewed.
