Strolling the beach in tankini with shorts or a one piece , usually with shorts on. Chasing grandchildren , building sandcastles .

Poolside , I’m a one piece, tankini girl there too. I will pull up a lounger next to Angie , although I will position mine in the sun, slap on some sun screen ( so I don’t get scolded ) and have a nice looong chat with all the fabbers in attendance poolside .

Love your categories. When we moved to the desert, we put in a backyard pool and I bought a Beach Babe suit. After the first year, I got a rash guard top and pants to protect my self from the harsh sun and spent pool time floating in a pool toy tethered to an sun umbrella. I spent many happy hours reading and keeping cool in that pool.

Being in a land locked state and no pool in the back yard, I don't wear a swimsuit often. I'm a beach babe with wave warrior hair. Two years ago, we went to Maui. I hadn't bought a suit since 2008, so I bought a new bikini. It wasn't comfy (and when I saw pictures, not flattering,) so I ended up wearing the old bikini most of the trip. I should actually be full time wave warrior. My top came off in the ocean once...luckily I was able to grab it before a wave came along, lol!

Fashionintern, that sounds like a great way to spend the day!
Angie, you are definitely a beach babe in the shade or out.
Suz,I’m sure that we can arrange a salt water hot tub just for you(and maybe Suntiger!)

Taylor,l d love to hang out poolside with you too
Bonnie, sometimes a rash suit is the only sensible option in strong sun, your way of keeping cool sounds idyllic.
Dana,l think that we ve all been there with swimwear coming adrift!l hope that you manage to find a suit that you feel happy and comfortable in.

Cardiff girl, thanks for the tankini advice. I so want to be swimming right now.

I suppose that as a former waterfront specialist, swim coach, and lifeguard I’m a diehard wave warrior. I wear a bikini, but its all about function for me, if the suit stays on when I’m pulled up the ski boat, dive in and or do a flip turn, that’s all I care about.

Barbara Diane ,you are very welcome.l hope that you find something suitable soon and can jump on in in confidence.
Stays fit,I think that you will have to join Runcarla in the Water Goddess category!

I rarely swim these days and prefer to walk briskly beside the ocean while I mediate. I wear shorts and a long sleeved shirt. The Yoga sounds good to me too. I think I am Beach Yogi. When I was young I was a Beach Babe. See pic.

Can I be a Sun Shy Sweetheart? Or maybe a Stylish Shade Seeker

I live under a giant hole in the ozone later and my family has a history of skin cancer, so my main objective is avoiding sunburn. You can usually find me in a short-sleeved rash top, and board shorts or my yoga capris which are made from swim-friendly fabric. Oh, and lots of sunscreen, and a hat.

I guess I lean toward Wave Warrior because I definitely go for function over style...

Style fan , oh you are so cute in that photo! The definitive beach babe!
Styledetective, you soundlike you have a very sensible approach to the sun,we should all take a leaf out of your book when it comes to skincare.

Great thread! I am a shade bather for sure! I aim to stay moonbeam white.

I have a fab Speedo one piece from years ago, in red that I carefully look after to keep it going.

it depends...shade bathing in the cabana in hawaii...swimming with sharks in coral bay. bathing togs also bimodal. a wetsuit and rashguard solve all.

Jane, pale is definitely in these days and much more sensible, you are doing well to keep your Cossie going ,l find the chlorine tends to destroy mine pretty quickly.
bj1111,what a lovely colour of bikini and pretty coverups you have.
