Quirky jacket-help needed!

I found this jaket this weekend, and tought it has a great front cut but PLS-PLS. see the back view, too!!!:-(()..
.
Can somebody help, what's the point with a cut like on this one, and how should one style it??????
(weaving to Sveta:-), as know she struggles with blazer lengths to pants, too)

The material is knitted, very comfy --but didn't dare to purchase it:-((.

Pls. excuse my messy hair, it seems it was a bad hair day, too:-(( and thanx for your input, I always appreciate your time spent on my threads!

Lyn I like this jacket! The front view is gorgeous. Would you wear a top untucked with this? I don't mind the shirt showing from the back view but let's see what others say.
I think i would have found it difficult to walk away from this.

Lyn this IS a really nice jacket and it looks great on you... I know it sounds ordinary, but just saw a woman with black pants, white blouse and a pale grey jacket similar to this - for some reason it looked just lovely!

That is actually a very interesting jacket! Good find, I'd say, Lyn.

What about wearing it with top tucked in and a skirt, or with a dress underneath? I'm not sure if I'd be happy to wear it over dress pants, but over jeans I might... depends on *your* style preferences though!

This is fabulous! (Where's it from?) I can think of two possibilites - over a sheath-type dress, like MandipaM said, or with a high-low hem shirt (something longer in back and shorter in front).

I have a few blazers that are cut shorter in the back than in the front. It doesn't bother me at all. This looks more casual than something you'd wear to work, right? It would look great with a contrasting (maybe darker) top underneath. Great picture, by the way! You must have figured out how to turn off your flash.

I really like the fit, Looks like a comfortable and playful jacket. The shorter in back does seem as if you will use layered over untucked tops but with a dress would be an option.

Sweet! I like it but it is very casual. How do you plan to wear it? It would be great for weekend on the go outfits.

I think it's great. And it fits you brilliantly. I think you can wear it with a dress or with jeans and a tucked or untucked top, at least I would. A contrasting, darker top, probably?

Jacket is from Vögele(swiss brand) and these picties were made in the dressing room.. Claire, -you cracked me up!:-) I know very well how to turn off the flash:-), but -aside that my entry is so much more darker early mornings I figurred out it is a great tool for preserving my privacy on the net. So sorry if this is that annoying:-((...I simply don't know how to do photoshop....

I dunno, but would have been much more happier if it was longer on the back and shorter on front for some reason. Even if wearring with a long top/shirt underneath I feel that this cut attracts a lot of attention to my not so spectacullar back seat, I really don't need that kind of attention anymore:-). So this means no pants to them for me.(It's almost cut up to my waist in the back!!!)

It's amazing how big of an influece the clothes that you are actually wearring while shopping will have uppon your choices and styling ideeas. I was completely blinded by this item worn only to pants as I was wearring jeans that day:-))....so have to thank you ladies for the ideea wearring it over a seath, or a skirt AND a contrasting colour top....

Still, I'm not sold on this jacket, yet -if that's so casual-.. I'm afraid..it also has a bright baby pink lining, which I forgot to mention before, not really my colour....:-(

I like knitted blazers for comfort and think it looks good on you. I give it a "yay" if it's priced reasonably.

ETA: But if you are uncomfortable with your backside showing, you should pass on it. You will find other knitted jackets out there, there seem to be a lot of them this year.

Love the jacket and you in it (even the rear view)! I don't see any reasons you shouldn't wear it.

The lining won't be visible that often...and I love a quick peak of an interesting lining.

Here's my suggestion...try it with skirts and dresses. If you are still uncomfortable, return it.
