I almost never order clothing from catalogues. But I got brave a few days ago. I picked up my purchases today, and was so happy.

A $75 60-inch string of pink freshwater pearls was on special for $16. Well, duh! I expect to be wearing that one for the rest of my life.

And a striped boatneck long-sleeve T-shirt. I had been looking for one for weeks and this one had the added bonus of being elephant grey with white stripes! It looked fabulous, and should be good for four-season wear. And yes, I am picturing the pearls with it. With white or grey pants...

And finally my first new bathing suit in years. It's a wee bit snug, which is exactly what I wanted. I still have 20 pounds to lose, and I hope to be able to wear it next year. It's a skirted tankini, so very precise fit is not necessary. They didn't have the blue available in my size, unfortunately.
