I'm off to Victoria, BC  (oh Gaylene, I can't believe I won't be there long enough to check out your favourite shops) tomorrow  to work with a group of people interested in my experience in the different channels in publishing sales.  In and out the next day, sadly, as Victoria is SO beautiful, but I just can't afford the time away from my "day job" right now.

I used the finds to assemble my packing list , and found it a great tool for editing and changing plans. A good little YLF'r would have her whole closet in here, but I'm a ways away from that yet

It's hard to know what to wear to work these days. I know to err on the side of dressiness and a more conservative look, but publishing people are a different lot , and this is a small office with a casual feel.  I'm wearing the blue blazer, jeans, and a sleeveless BCBG print silk tank , jeans and some metallic sneakers for the plane trip. I have hardly worn this jacket, and I hope I can get more comfortable in it.  I'll be adding in a bunch of gold/turquoise druzy stone jewellery , and carrying my usual black tote. I'm not convinced the sneakers are the best choice here given my tote is black, but I really want to wear them!! I need a white/or light colour tote for summer . Ugh.    Presentation day will be in a black jacket, black linen graphic t,  black cropped wide leg pants and heels. A quick change into jeans and black sneakers for the plane trip home later that day.  More gold jewellery.

Do I ditch the rose gold sneakers and wear the black ones on the plane instead ? Or ignore the fact that my tote and luggage don't work with my shoes ?  All of a sudden I feel disheveled and I'm not even at the airport yet.  And now I am obsessed with finding the perfect summer work tote.
