I love stripes more than polka dots but they don't love me back enough. I'm afraid I have to be on Team Polka Dots. But I'm very torn, stripes are more up my alley than polka dots

All over Polka dots..own several items. I don't think I have ever owned a striped garment in my life...I wonder why the aversion, other than they just don't appeal.

I love stripes!
I like polka dots, but funny enough, I only have it in a fabric belt. I guess I think it comes and goes whereas stripes seem to make an appearance every fall and spring.

Can you be on both? I love stripes even though they are not always the most flattering pattern on me. I own several striped tops already and had to put back a totally cute one from Zara at the NYC meet-up this past weekend (though medusa did get it!). I also adore polka dots but have actually not found many polka dot items that have really appealed to me for awhile. I hope to remedy that this spring.

I love both! Do pinstripes count? I have a lot of those, but only one jailbird stripe top. I don't have many polka-dot items at the moment. I do think of polka dots as more feminine, and for a few years I tried to avoid that and haven't bought any - which I hope to rectify now that they are a trend.

I like both very much, but stripes feel a lot more like "me". I'd love a blue and white polka dot blouse to go with my white skirt though.

Last time polka dots where trendy I bought a silk scarf and I think I haven't worn it once... Will dig that out of my drawers.

Definitely team stripes! I think little girl clothes have kind of spoiled polka dots for me (just way, way overdone for little girls, I'm afraid). It's not that I dislike them, I'm just slightly sick of them.

Very interesting. I much prefer polka dots to stripes but only own maybe one polka dot piece. On the other hand, I own a decent amount of pinstriped pieces, all business wear though.

My mother owns a suit (her only suit that she only wore for 1 interview....I need to get it altered so I can wear it) that instead of a pinstripe has very small white dots in vertical lines

I love to look at both, yet my wardrobe has only ever had stripes. Team Stripes for me!

I'm on the lookout for a classic nautical striped tee that doesn't cling to my tummy. I have been looking for several years now, and know that when I find it, I'll wear it until it falls apart. Oh yes indeed!
