Quick OOTD - Gray and Brown, no Blue

Quick post on my way to work.
Please be honest, all feedback appreciated.

ETA - after looking at the photo, it seems that sweater is pilling, but it is not, trust me Diffcult to photograph, it is fuzzy with metallic sparkles. Attaching close up photo for details.

It looks like a very comfortable outfit in a pleasant neutral palette that suits your colors. If you want me to be honest: I would like to see this outfit with dressier shoes (big enemy of sneakers here, but that's just me of course )

Firstly lovely to see you Anchie. Your hair looks terrific. I agree with SISI (the enemy of sneakers, hahaha). Fabulous palette, loving neutrals myself lately. Of course it works with sneakers but I think it will be even better with loafers or Mary Janes.

I think it looks great :). Love the sneakers, and boy do I have serious hair envy ! I think the pants would also benefit from a shorter, more cropped sweater if you have one to try.

Especially appreciate hair compliments, I haven’t been to a hairdresser for almost full year because I can’t decide what to do with it so I just let it grow. I also stopped coloring again, but have been playing with temporary color depositing masks. I was even purple for a week I do have lots of white roots coming in, but those temporary colors help with blending.

And I had to share, funny thing happened just now, was in a meeting (only female as usual) and guy runs up to me after the meeting, if he can ask me something. I expected some work related question, but he asked me about the sweater, that his wife would love something like that, where have I got it LOL.

I love this look! Slouchy and oversized, luxe and polished! I love the fuzzy pullover with the smooth fabric of the pants. I adore the sneakers with the outfit. They look like animal-print maybe? I like the color combination a lot, and I admit that I would never have admitted that until the brown resurgence. I think I’d like (as other Lisa said) to see this with a top piece that’s a little narrower or more cropped. And your hair!

slim cat - I found pendant among my mom’s things, it has 3 letters A engraved that represented our little family (my parents names were Albert and Adela). I now wear it everyday and thinking about engraving initials of my own family on the other side ( it will be some combination of AAEE ) .

Oh I love the back story on your pendant! I came back to say that SHARAN has such a good eye. I didn't notice the snake print. These are really cool sneakers. Also, I too have been applying temporary colour shampoos to my silver hair and find it so much better for blending with root growth. I have not visited a hair salon for a year. I gave myself two trims though.

I was using a Copper Red from Elea, a local make. It fades to an interesting strawberry blonde that everyone loves, including me. Now they have discontinued it. ggrr,! I put on Naughty Carrot by Be Extreme but not that happy. It is a pumpkin shade, which is okay for Autumn I suppose, but not again. I tried a pearl blonde and it did not take on my roots. Which one is on your hair now? I like it a lot. I'm thinking of trying L'Oreal blonde 9 universal, which incorporates cool and warm tones. Although it does not have ammonia it is permanent so I am reluctant.

I love the hair and think the grey roots are not that obvious with the blonde. I have no idea what a “color depositing mask” is.
I do think this outfit is a lot more casual looking than you used to wear. I like it, it’s just different from what we used to see you in, I agree with Irina.
I also love the back story of your necklace.
A long time ago we had friends who both had names starting with L. They had 4 children, 2 boys then 2 girls, and gave them all L names!

I am 5 years away from retirement and I am slowly relaxing my work wardrobe, nothing more to prove at work:) And most meetings are now online anyway so my outfits are rarely seen. But I am getting more compliments on my outfits than ever, especially from interns and my teen daughter friends.

I like it a lot! I like: the minimal shapes and palette. I like: the more androgynous silhouette. This outfit looks very on purpose, while baggy-type outfits are not always on purpose for women. If I wanted to make it more traditional, I might just swap out the pants for a more fitted silhouette.
