Quick ON Jacket Review (for Team Shoulder and everyone else))

I really struggle when it comes to jackets--what fits my shoulders generally doesn't fit anywhere else. Imagine my surprise when everything I ordered fit! Not sure what I'm keeping (if anything) but thought some of you might find the information useful--especially if you are looking for cropped jackets. For reference, I'm 5'3". All of these are regular size--not petite (although a couple items were available in petite.)

1. Collarless cropped denim jacket, medium. This one has a bit of stretch and is super comfy. I saw this on KristinKP's blog and thought I'd give it a try. I don't really need another denim jacket but I'm tempted to keep it because it's so cute.

2.) Cropped utility jacket, medium. This is a bit more snug in the arms and armholes. I would only wear this with a light layer. It has a drawstring that can be adjusted to give waist definition. Overall, a nice spring and early fall layer.

3.) Knit moto style jacket, medium. Loose and comfy. I could live in this. The fabrication is rather flimsy but seems perfect for a California fall. Lots of ease in this baby so would work with layers.

ETA: I didn't bother to style. I just through them on over what I happened to be wearing.

These look great, especially 1 and 2! Does 3 seem a pinch too big :)?

Thanks, Jonesy. These are all very much my casual style. I think I could probably size down in the knit jacket--I need to check the fabrication and see if it will shrink after a wash and tumble dry. Need to do some closet evaluating before I cut any tags : )

LOVE #2 on you! That one is perfect.
The last one actually seems a bit big and shapeless on you... I hate to say that when you found it so comfy, but I have to be honest

@Bella: That is exactly the one. I noticed many reviewers thought the jacket was awkward fitting--that the drawstring was too high. I think it's just right. There is a 30% off coupon on the website or at Retail Me Not (for use in store only.) It's pretty reasonable to start with but the coupon makes it irresistible.
@Kim: Thanks for being candid, Kim. I think it does look a bit shapeless too--sizing down may help. Nice neutral color though, eh?

I love 1 and 2, thanks for the reviews. You have such a great body, I hate to see it hiding under so much fabric in 3.

I love the first 2 jackets, but agree that the third one is perhaps a size too big. I feel your pain regarding the shoulder issue! I have to tailor almost every jacket I own because when it fits in the shoulders, it's too big in the torso area... I would love to find a jean jacket like the one you got, but I am really long arms and I'm 5'10", so I don't hold out a lot of hope, unless I can find something in tall sizes.

LOVE #2 on you! I just picked up the vest version of that jacket, I think #1 is OK, seems a bit sweet. #3 looks too big to me, but perhaps could work if sized down; shoulder on a smaller size should still fit OK. The sleeves are also pretty darn long on that one

Kelly, love # 2, perfect for your IVshape! I'm not loving the cropped, I'm not sure why, maybe, as a fellow IV shape it seems boxy. I like the last jacket too, with skinnies I think this would work well you!
