I bought both of these this week : the cropped flares from Free People, and the full-length flares from Lord & Taylor's Design Lab label. The cropped flares are stretchy and soft, but in a good way (for those of you who aren't crazy about stretchy jeans either). Excellent length on me at 5'5", fairly true to size although I could go down a size if I had the energy to go back to the store (which I don't) and a nice mid rise. Good mid-blue colour and perfect weight for summer. Reasonable price too at $85 Cdn. The full-length ones may go back. The fit is great again, flatteringly snug around the thigh, nice full flare, good stretch, but I'm not convinced after trying them on that I'll end up wearing them much during the summer. It's a lot of length and fabric for warm weather . I picked them up at a sale price , but even full price is super cheap - $59 Cdn.
