Quick coat ordering Q

I was looking for a coat for my upcoming trip and ordered the Christine Trench @ EB. It came today in the 'shrimp' color which is a lot more orange than I had expected and I've decided it just doesn't work for me. Otherwise I really like the fit and cut etc. So now I'm trying to decide whether I should try the 'jade' color or just play it safe and get the black. Either way I've gotta order asap and get expedited shipping so it'll get here in time. Thoughts?

The jade looks pretty, but I wouldn't be sure I could trust how the color would be if the shrimp one looked that much different from the pictures.

I ended up buying the shrimp, but I strongly considered the jade.
From photos I've seen of you on this site, I think jade would work for you. It's also pretty bright, though, so if you're wanting something more subdued, you might go with black.

ETA: I was trying them on in the store. The jade is brighter IRL than it looks online on my monitor.

How are EB returns and expedited costs? Probably impractical to rush order both, but it is tempting otherwise. Do you wear most greens well? I don't, so if it was just one, I' d have to be cautious. Perhaps you don't,

Tough call. The jade looks nice on my monitor, but could be pretty harsh IRL. If you don't already have a basic black coat then maybe that's the way to go. To bad you don't have enough time to order both and return the one you don't like.

I like the look of the jade on my computer screen, but from past experience I've found that this colour can actually look more washed out as opposed to brighter in real life. Worth a try though.

I actually also really like the navy colour for you (as an alternative to black). Just my two cents:-)

I ended up ordering both, since the difference in shipping for both was only another 5 bucks or so. My credit card is getting a real workout ordering and returning stuff for this trip, let me tell you. Hopefully it'll get here in time.

Inge, I like the blue too (I suspect it's probably a bit purplish) but my trip capsule is black and ivory so it wouldn't be my first pick for that purpose in particular.
