I ordered the Michael Kors jacket on Angies list http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/31.....sultback=0
and I need to know if I need to keep the new black suit jacket in photo 1 and is the skirt too short.(I like the new zebra blouse but not sure if it looks OK without jacket) I have also just bought the short BCBG jacket in photo #3 and last I have an old jacket in photo 4 I might just need to toss. I would like to have a nice fitting black jacket that could work well in my wardrobe. I know that I need hose and proper footwear just working on fit. If I need to keep all 3 new ones that is OK too.

I think the skirt is definitely not too short. Pic #2 looks fine without the jacket, but maybe belt it to decrease some of the volume up top? The jacket and skirt work well together in #1, but I'm no judge at all about suits. I do like the cheekiness of the 3rd jacket a lot...

Thank you for your feedback I am leaning twd keeping #3. I know that I am getting allot of black jackets but I feel that they will serve different purposes or maybe I am wrong. If I keep the suit I need to jazz it up a bit.

There's nothing wrong with a basic black skirt suit, especially if it fills a niche in your wardrobe and lifestyle and fits you perfectly. As far as jazzing it up....how do you feel about brooches? Some of the ladies have posted outfits with floral pins or antique brooches and those always catch my eye...

I like the skirt suit, fit looks good and skirt length is not too short. When you sit, are comfortable with the skirt length? I like this as a test of "shortness" or not. Jacket #3 is also nice and different enough from #1 to be a second keeper piece. I'm not a fan of #4, it looks a tad big and the sleeves end at a somewhat short length.

I don't think the skirt's too short at all, in fact the length really works well on you. I know you mentioned you were working on footwear, I think more open shoes (without the ankle strap) would lengthen your leg line even more.

It's hard to tell about black jackets in photos, how is the fit on the sides of #1 in the torso? Could this be a little big on you? #3 looks like it fits you really well and I like the shape of it.

I love that zebra neckline on you! Another vote here for belting (unless it is one of those surrender the waist tops, then . . . ?)

I prefer jacket in #3 - more stylish and cheekier. #1 jacket looks too big right -- right between your shoulders and bust. Because of that, it doesn't do anything for *me*. I'd focus on the jacket in #3. Did you try it with the Haolgen silk top (#3) and skirt (#2)?

Yes Angie the MK jacket I ordered is a petite and so is the jacket in photo #1. The Zebra blouse is also a petite. I am replacing my entire wardrobe with petite clothing.
Srujana I bought a couple of flower pins from Loft they are fun.
Lisa I always do the sit down test and it worked great it stretches and I agree #4 needs to go.
Thanks Kristine I am working on shoes but I just ordered the black Fidjis like Angi's cream and it has a strap too but I love them. I am going to order a pair of classic pumps next.
MNsara I can't belt my tops because my spine is crooked and it shows too much to me.(I have bad back issues) That is why I wear looser tops. I am with you I think if the MK jacket fits and work ok I might return jacket 1.
Thank you ladies it really helps to get feedback. It is sometimes overwhelming replacing my entire wardrobe.

Renee, sorry to split hairs but are you sure that's the MK jacket I suggested in the blog post? Does it have the zipper detailing?

No Angie the MK jacket is not in the photos. I have ordered it from Nordstrom and it has not arrived. I am trying to decide what jackets in the photo to keep, toss or return.I don't need that many black jackets. Sorry for the confusion. Should I keep the zebra top? Thank you.

I agree with everyone about the jackets. I can't wait to see the new MK zipper jacket. I also LOVE outfit #3! (We're top twins!)

Renee, I think you should keep the zebra top, but wonder how it would look with the skirt if it were just a smidge shorter. The cowel neckline is lovely on you.

The skirt is not too short but somehow that jacket in pic.1 seems to swallow you up. Maybe it is too beg or too long for you?
I like the zebra print top under the jacket but it looks too wide on its own. Are you sure you don`t need to size down?
The jacket in pic.3 looks great!
