Questions about some BR items with pear shape

I'm wondering if the following items would work on a 6' tall pear?

I'm looking for new work pants, and these look great with heels, but I stand all day as a pharmacist and I'm not sure if these would look as good with loafers? I do have the long 36' inseam, but also size 11 shoes..so I'm a little leery of the clown feet look.

And I'm super excited that the sweater vest over a button up look is coming back, but is a cropped sweater vest going to emphasize pear tendencies? ( I tried for a link, but apparently it's only available in BR stores).

Foot twin! I hear you. I tried on some flares hoping for the cute toe just peeking out from the hem look. Nope! What about pointed flats or pointed loafers? I'll leave the fit advice to others.

From my experience, BR seems to cut their clothes for pear shapes. That's why it doesn't usually work for me.

Hmm, I'm more of a rectangle and BR pants often fit me well so I'm not sure about them being cut for a pear shape but they often seem sized just slightly larger to me. I'd say you will really have to try them - we all prefer different fits. I like mine to fit not tight in any way and I typically choose a size 8 from BR where often I choose size 10 in jcrew, gap, etc.

BR pants are usually stretchable and tend to take the shape of your legs. I'm petite and pear shaped and I pretty much buy my pants exclusively from BR. I've tried on the Sloan and Hampton fits plenty of times, and they work quite well with flat ballerinas, pointy toed flats or even cute open toed sandals. You're so tall that you don't even need the extra height!

Having said that, very easy to find BR on 30-40% sale, so make sure you take advantage of that.

I think the Hampton fit may be better for a pear. As an hourglass, they seem to fit me much better than the slimmer Sloans.

Personally, I like the Martin fit best for my pear shape. Unfortunately it looks like they only have trouser and straight leg Martins right now though.

I prefer the Jackson fit, but that's become a lot less easy to find. They used to make it in a lot more fabrications. The Sloan has never worked for me, a pear.

As for Diana Martin is the best BR fit for this hourglass gal! However nothing ventured - nothing gained so you should try different fits for yourself.
As for the loafers: I wear size 12 and wear flat oxfords with skinnies, skirts and tapered trousers all the time. As long as shoes are refined and modern I don't mind that my feet look long. They ARE long and - hey - don't long feet elongate the legs even more?

Martin fit for me, too! I'm wearing a navy trouser with a pointy toe flat...either my red ones or the silver pointy toe loafer.

I bought these recently, tags are still on them, because I'm on the fence.

I am not a pear at all, nowhere close, so I can't advise on that, they may or may not work for your shape. However, I just want to say that they are cut pretty short. I got the petites because I'm 5'0 tall. I still think they are on the short side, for me, and I am contemplating ordering the regular because I think I might prefer something just a tad longer.

So that would be my concern, at your height, they may end up being more cropped than ankle length?

It's kind of weird.. I have the windowpane Sloan's, they are longer than these. Or it's an illusion, maybe these are cut slimmer in the legs/ankles so seem shorter?

Thanks everyone for the comments. Honestly, I've had inconsistent success with each style of BR pants,so I never know until I try them on. This year I will have all my little ones in school , so I think soon I'll end up l just spending a day turning all of those retail stones of Angie's and just go try on a million pants.

Sveta, thanks for the pics. Your feet looked fine! So mine probably do to.. it's all about proportions after all. I think I've just got to get used to a slimmer bottomed leg, since I've always worn wider ones.

BR's new arrivals have really tickled my fancy..so hear's my chance to really check them out!
