Question regarding Lanvin - Wedge boots

Hi all,

I usually don't shop at this price range unless I am looking at something I will wear for a lifetime. Black boots are a staple for me and I'm in the process of replacing some worn out pairs, for more long lasting, higher end pieces.

These Lanvin boots are the perfect replacement for my low heel wedge black boots, that will not see past this winter. (SM Intyce)

It appears as if my size is sold out everywhere. For those of you who shop at this price point, is this a style that comes out every year?

I don't know the answer to this exactly. But thinking back over the last couple years, I seem to recall more of the tall Lanvin boots with the concealed wedge. This wedge heel with the very narrow back seems like it came out within the last two years (I have a pair of pumps with the same wedge shape, think I got them summer 2011). I could be totally off base though.

That said, their tall boots are always extremely popular and they always sell out, so I definitely think you will be able to find a comparable pair from year to year. They are gorgeous and a beautiful investment piece. And I always find Lanvin shoes super comfortable!

Modgirl & Kristie: Thank you so much for the links. Sadly, all of those boots have a 15 or 15 1/2 calf length. I need at least a 16 calf length and 15 calf circumference. That is quite hard to find.

Tina, thank you. Dumb question, where does one buy Lanvin, other than net a porter? That should tell you something about my lil' budget here I wanted to see if I can find them elsewhere. I'm in NYC.

Lanvin is not too difficult to find, although the boots are definitely tougher. They are a classic. I would try Saks, Barney's, Neiman Marcus or a Lanvin boutique. I would definitely try them on in person. A pair of these would work so beautifully with your style.

Just piping in to say that my Loeffler Randall's have been worth every penny--I've had them resoled once already because I have just about worn them into the ground but they are incredible comfortable, including long distance walking. Def a high quality product but a slightly lower price point. I bought some Lanvin ballet flats this fall but had to return them--I just knew I'd burn through that leather sole with how hard I am on flats/boots and couldn't justify the price point.

Lanvin sizing can be weird sometimes (short/narrow toe boxes) so you might be a bigger size than you think. The SAs at the Lanvin NY boutique (68th and Madison) are super nice and helpful, go try some stuff on! Also, they might be able to locate your size and style somewhere.
