I know Angie volunteers for Dress for Success, and they are always looking for donations. I am editing my closet and jewelry, and I looked up the DFS website of the local Austin Chapter. They say they will take donations of jewelry, professional closed-toe shoes, suits and separates, and blouses or shells.

I have some blouses that are from J. Crew that I just don't like the color or pattern, etc. I want to donate them, but I'm not exactly sure if the blouses are the type DFS is looking for. They are button up cotton shirts, but they have ruffly collars or plackets, or have a print on them. I personally would layer them under a blazer, and I think that would look sharp and be an interesting alternative to a plain button up, but it's not a very conservative look. Should I still try to donate these, or just send them to Goodwill (which will take anything)? I don't want to send DFS stuff that they can't use and then have to deal with. Also, will they take earrings, do you know (Angie)?

Thank you!
