Hi,

I like the emire waist dresses that are being shown as of late...on the hanger that is. I just wondered if some body types are not able to wear the empire waist look as easily?

I tried on a ton of different empire waist or waistless dresses and they did nothing for me. Some of them looked really cute and summery. Whenever I looked in the mirror, I thought it was a pretty dress, but just not on me.

I also noticed the sizing was off for me. I was trying on the juniors' sizes and the bust didn't fit at all, even in the size large. Hmm...never had that happen.

I'm about 5'2, 115 pounds, usually a size 2 or 4 in misses...I'm athletic (muscular) but also curvy (hourglass), but very short-waisted (not a lot of torso, but have a long inseam and a lot of leg for my height...31 inch inseam).

I wonder if it's just the baby doll type of size that doesn't work for me? I found a cute Max Studio knit empire dress that was more fitted on the rib cage area that looked great on me.

I am not too upset that I won't be in fashion, but just wondered if anyone else has had challenges with the empire waist dresses that are currently in style?
