I know we have had a few discussions on hair removal here before, but I want to address this specifically to those with coarse, dark hair. Advice for normal hair just isn't going to work for me.
How do you manage to remove hair from large areas of the body without irritating the heck out of your skin? I know some women can go a few days between shaves, but I can't. I have to do it every single day and it's horrible for my sensitive skin. The results aren't even very good--I still end up with visible black dots all over my legs, especially towards the end of the day. I could live with the less than stellar results if it wasn't for the irritation. I have tried all kinds of creams and razors, including those meant for men, and haven't had much success.
Recently I tried sugaring and found it incredibly painful, but I would honestly be willing to maintain it if I could. The problem is that, like waxing, I'd have to wait until my hair gets long enough for it to be effective, which I just can't do--at least in the summer.
I'm stumped. I'm a great candidate for laser removal/electrolysis but it's certainly not in my budget. What else is there? I have tried depilatory creams and all I got out of that were a few chemical burns. It's so frustrating and I end up feeling so defeated over something I have absolutely no control over
