I have a question about our badges/icons/forum roles. I had thought that once a role was permanent, the badge stayed with your name forever?

My profile page lists 6 of the blue roles as permanent, yet only four of them appear with my avatar (along with one green one for blog comments).

Could some savvy soul help me understand what it means for a role to be permanent?
