Question about Born sandal sizing....

I'm eyeing some Born sandals (flat thong style) online, but I'm wondering about sizing since they come in only whole sizes. I'm normally a size 8 1/2, so should I go up to a 9 or down to an 8? The reviews online aren't that helpful....some say go up and some say go down!

For me, it is a matter of toe length. I think in most cases you can get away with a smaller sandal size than a shoe size, because you usually aren't wearing socks etc. with sandals.

If you have long toes, then you might need to size up, if you have shorter toes, you can probably get away with sizing down.

I usually have to size up in closed-toe shoes and size down in sandals for Born. Hope this helps!

I usually wear an 8; and do the same in sandals ... I find they're pretty TTS; I guess that doesn't help you too much, but if I had to choose, I'd size up!

I wear 5.5/36 and the Born 6s are unwearably big, so I'd size down.

I think the last pair of Born sandals I had I sized down. I wear a 9 1/2 and went with a 9 and it worked out fine. Hope yours work out!

I have sized down in Born thong flat sandals, and they are still biggish, so try sizing down. Good luck - mine are very comfy and have lasted for years.

It might be too late, but I find Born runs huge. I'm typically a 9 and I think I wound up with a 7.5 or 8 in their shoes. But as others have pointed out, foot shape makes a big difference so your may work out perfectly.
